If you're an old school animutation fan, come on down to the portal and join in with the celebrations. Has it really been 7 years since Neil Cicierega released "Hyakugojyuuichi!!"? Yes... approximately.

But is animutation still alive and well? Or is it now too "old hat" to be "old school"? Animutations are still being made, and they are evolving and adapting to the ever-changing tastes of their internet audience (see "ScientLOLojyuuichi!!"). Poor animation quality is not a standard, intentional feature of animutation, although it was a trend for a while. Animutation can be whatever its animator wants.

What do you think, in your humble opinion?

Mind clarifying for me which part of animutation makes it the animutation exactly? Because if its the using famous art and media figure cutouts in animations Monty python and stuff dating even before that was doing that sort of thing when niel was still a kid if not younger.

Animutation has never been "clarified", sadly. It's still being developed. It's more of a "culture" rather than a "style". But I'm sure your question was rhetorical, intended to expose animutation as the fraud that it unashamedly is. Well played, good sir. :) *tips hat*

Come to the forums at animutationportal.com and debate that one! Some people consider it a "forerunner" while others consider it an animutation. But there will probably never be a proper definition of animutation, so... yeah.

well I've watched chocolate niblet beans, Hyakugojyuuichi!! and ScientLOLojyuuichi!! but frankly ScientLOLojyuuichi!! was the only one with a lol coherant plot x.x I'll take your word for that being what animutation is but that doesn't excuse the rest x.x

Yeah, read the comment on the Japanese Pokerap. He says he made it the day before Hyakugojyuuichi. So the anniversary was yesterday.

What day was that? Feb 27? Jan 1? Neil has admitted to not being sure of it, so the birthdate of animutation was arbitrarily decided by a panel of inexperts to be Feb 28. We know it's probably not correct, but it doesn't actually matter. What do animators know about dating anyway? :-B 23 SKIDDOOO
