Skeletor's Bakery 2

"Skeletor = THE SHIT!"

date: December 7, 2004

Ahhh, the good ol' tried-and-true method of sitcoms: When a joke isn't funny but the audience laugh, it's funny. It was also a riot to hear them clapping when Skeletor took a dump (haha I'm laughing just remembering it, even though it was so childish).

I enjoy any parody with "Skeletor" in the title, so things were off to a good start. I nearly exploded when the famous picture of Gary Coleman was shown.

The drawings were well done, and the voices weren't too shabby either. Excellent job on putting a song in there, I think I'll give you a 10/10 for sound, just because of that alone.

The photo after the credits was funny. Was it faked? Or is there really a baker with that name?

Hey, I'll give ya a 5/5. This is the best movie on NG that features poos. Yeah, even Prowlies doesn't compare to Skeletor's Bakery 2!

Pirate Poetry

"Good solid Flash."

submission: Pirate Poetry
date: December 4, 2004

The graphics were really cool, but you needed some instruction or some kind of interactivity guide to let people know how to change from one poem to the next. I was expecting a menu. The subtlety was good, but this is NewGrounds.
The poems themselves were funny. Ironic that bloodthirsty pirates would make poetry about their inner sadness. If only they all learned to open up (not surgically) and share their feelings with one another... Y'arr...

Who said pirates are
Bloodthirsty rapscallions?
They make poetry.

4/5

I won't forget

"One VERY Important Thing (please read this)"

submission: I won't forget
date: November 7, 2004

I thought this movie was one of the most beautiful Flash movies I've ever seen on Newgrounds.
However. There is one thing that you ought to do out of consideration of your viewers:
I convinced a friend of mine to watch "I Won't Forget" on their computer, but because your audio soundtrack wasn't set to "Stream" and their computer is a couple of years old now, the animation was running slightly slower on their computer - So the music reached the end of the song halfway through the movie.
As a result, my friend - who appreciates anime music videos of all genres - failed to get the full effect of the movie and grumbled about it being some pseudo-wanky piece of half-baked wannabe-manga crap. ;_;

Might I suggest that you go back into Flash, look in the "properties" tab on the keyframe upon which the music starts, and set the audio to "Stream". Then publish it (and re-upload it to Newgrounds by accessing your NG account's submission list and updating your submission by uploading the new SWF file). That way, the animation will run at a pace consistent with with that of the audio, and everybody will be moved and impressed by your work of art, regardless of the speed of their computer's processor.

Thank you for reading this, and thank you for your beautiful movie.

Goodness me, a sequel that's less sucky that the original!
That intro sequence was so awesome. It would make Tim Burton turn in his grave.
What?
He's not dead?
WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT!

Such carefully engineered chaos. Only a genius could create something that stupid yet lovable. A genius or somebody whose Dad is like that in real life... :D

Chocolate Niblet Beans

"Well well well."

date: September 21, 2004

Although this animutation has been stripped of the "innocent charm" that animutation has until now been famous for, it is still an amazing work of art, and definitely a landmark in the development of the genre. The animation was professional quality, the graphics were nice to watch, and the random changes that happen each time the movie is watched were a stroke of genius.

You have again demonstrated that animutation is not just for 15 year old kids developing their Flash skills.
Who knows what will happen next?

submission: "Chickens"

I always knew that NewGrounders were fucked up, but I didn't realise that they were sick enough to let necrophilia get a daily first. Congratulations on demonstrating this fact.

Nice animation techniques, by the way.

Go Yaffa! The Music Video

"And everybody say... Yaffa!"

date: April 7, 2004

I thought that the advert at the start was all it was gonnabe, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a Flash movie that truly floats in mid-air. It's more than meets the eye. And it stores airplanes! Good work, and the animutational style gets you a 5/5 from me by default.

Author's Response:

What sucks now is this movie is almost 2 years old, so it's quite dated and the Yaffa ads no longer run. :(
